Contingency fees
Many whistleblower attorneys work on a contingency fee basis. This means they only get paid if the whistleblower wins their case. The attorney’s fee is usually between 30-40% of the whistleblower’s reward

Many whistleblower laws have provisions that require the company to pay the whistleblower’s reasonable attorney fees if the whistleblower wins
Whistleblower awards
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issues whistleblower awards, which can range from $100,000 to hundreds of millions of dollars.
According to the National Whistleblower Center, the average whistleblower settlement is $447,830. For less complex cases, whistleblowers see a settlement amount lower than this. In more complex cases, the settlement surpasses $1,000,000
