PRO BONO OPPORTUNITIES FOR ATTORNEYS
Louisiana women need your help! We cannot review cases without the volunteer support of our pro bono attorneys. Opportunities are numerous and allow pro bono attorneys to engage in projects with a clear timeline.
- Appeal Analysis- Pro Bono attorneys’ work includes reviewing and analyzing the record, conducting legal research into the merits of the appeal, and drafting a memorandum. Attorneys who screen a case will have the first choice of handling the appeal if Motion to Quash LLC decides to move forward.
- Pro Bono attorneys have the opportunity to take the lead in drafting amicus briefs.
In addition, attorneys are welcome to volunteer for Motion to Quash LLC’s non-legal volunteer needs.
NON-LEGAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Administrative assistance with cases. If your schedule does not allow substantial involvement in appeal, sometimes discrete administrative projects arise, such as retrieving court records.
- Volunteer at fundraising events. You are welcome to participate in all Motion to Quash LLC’s fundraising events.
- Interpreters/ Translators. If you are bilingual, we welcome you to interpret for us written documents and website content.
